Hans-Ulrich studied mechanical engineering at the technical University of Munich. After completing his degree he worked for two years in the research and development department of BMW Triebwerkbau. Hans-Ulrich Hosbach completed legal apprenticeship in Munich and qualified as a patent attorney in 1969. After a few years working as a self-employed patent attorney in Munich, he became head of the patent department of RUHRGAS AG in Essen. In 1988 Hans-Ulrich Hosbach became a partner in our firm.
Hans-Ulrich specializes in patent application proceedings and infringement proceedings in the areas of mechanical engineering and energy technology. He advises our clients in all questions of the law relating to employee’s inventions and licensing law.
In 2003 Hans-Ulrich retired from the day to day business of the firm and since then has remained as an advisor to the firm.
